The path that led me to discover my life purpose is one of cancer, healing, inspiration, and finally, vitality.

In 2015 my annual check up resulted in further testing, and then a diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer. After recovering from a double mastectomy, I received 5 months of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation. I celebrated and thought I would put the cancer world behind me, but as I began rebuilding myself, physically and emotionally, I realized the universe had other plans for me.

In 2017 I was drawn to studying with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) where I not only learned dietary theories, but the importance of incorporating lifestyle practices as a holistic approach to health. In 2018 I graduated from IIN and founded Inspired Vitality. I now know I could have incorporated better choices into my life while being treated for cancer and I’m passionate about helping those who are in a similar position. In fact, I can see now how my life could have been improved prior to cancer with healthier practices, and although I specialize in assisting those in treatment or post-cancer, I’m happy to work with people looking to prevent it.

Cancer doesn’t define me, but it has shaped me. It has created new beliefs in me, while maintaining some of the old me. I am sassy and sarcastic at times, but mostly I am sincere. I am honest, always honest. I am passionate…about chocolate (It’s now dark, organic, fair trade, but it’s still in my life). Okay, I have other passions too. I persevere and I believe in trying new things. I believe people can change, if they have the desire and drive to do so. I believe that having healthy relationships, meditation, laughter, exercise and eating nourishing, colorful food all contribute to a healthy life.

I look forward to hearing your story and being a part of your transformation.
